I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
